Sheathing board attached to cold-formed steel (CFS) wall panels offers a bracing effect against the various instability failure modes of wall frame studs. The benefits of incorporating the bracing effect of sheathing in CFS structural member design has been globally accepted. However, until the present study, there was no design approach available in the existing design standards globally to design sheathing boards against torsional buckling of CFS structural members.
